The shakehand grip is the most popular and oldest surviving playing style. It is similar to how we hold a tennis
racket although the index finger is extended on to the racket head. The index finger must be perpendicular to the racket handle in order to have power distribution between the forehand and backhand. The shakehand grip is extremely popular with European players and most other players including Asians use this playing style as well.

  • Power distribution between forehand and backhand

  • Wide crossover point
